So,
I'm off LJ until I've read DH, especially now that the full book has leaked. I'm absolutely unspoiled at this point and want to keep it that way. I'm horrified to say that I had a comment on a post I made recently about seeing OOTP from username wasteofpages. Luckily, I was suspicious, and scrolled down VEEEEEERY slowly. The first thing I saw was "DEATHS" written in huge black front, and I quickly deleted the post and closed my email. I can only surmise I was almost a drive by spoilee.
I'm also terrified of buying the book and having someone in the parking lot or store shouting out spoilers. I thought this was paranoid, irrational nonsense, but now that I've been anonymously trolled, I feel like it's a lot more justified. Luckily, my fabulous girlfriend has volunteered to brave the midnight crowds while I'm in the car with blinders on, return triumphantly to the car and let me read all the way home.
