[Well, since he has no pressing business anywhere today, Isaac’s taking a look around the market trying to see if there’s anything interesting for sale. Unfortunately, he’s not finding much and since his helmet’s not up, his disappointment’s pretty clear.

Still, he’s going to keep looking because there has to be something, right?]

…got to be something around here worth looking at. Maybe…no. Hmm. Might be able to…no, probably not.

[There's a woman trying to coax him into buying some fruit - the black spots on the item say otherwise if he has any ideas about it. Across from that stand, there are two women arguing over something, it seems.]

Did you hear? The illness hit Theodore--he tried to see Nicole about it.

Poor dear, she probably turned him away like all the others. She can't do anything about it, I don't know why they try...

[Ick. There went his appetite for a while. He looks around trying to find something that doesn’t look positively diseased. Must be something else somewhe…wait did he hear that right?

Somebody with the illness went to a see a Nicole? Couldn’t be the same person…could it? Either way, it’s an excuse to get further away from food poisoning waiting to happen. Isaac turned away from the stand and headed towards the two arguing women.]

…excuse me? Did you say Nicole?

[The two women stop in their bickering just in time to see Isaac approach; they step back in response, wary to him because they don't recognize him but at the question, one of them frowns, furrows her brow.]

I did, boy! What's it to you?

Sorry, uh…didn’t mean to interrupt but…

[Isaac tries to come across as nonthreatening as possible. Which should be a bit easier than normal since his helmet is down and he left his weapons back at his place.]

It’s just that I know a Nicole…

The one you’re talking about, she’s some sort of doctor right?

[He doesn't look that strange, compared to what she's seen around here; plus his helmet being down helps. The second woman gives him a glance, shakes her head and turns around. Back to shopping.]

That she is! If you've got the illness though, you'd be wise to leave us alone! Nicole too! That poor girl gets exposed to it too much, and she can't treat it.

[That definitely sounds like the Nicole he knew. Always trying to help even if things looked bad at least until bad became worse…

Do you know which District she’s in? Like I said, I’m not sick, but…I need to talk to her. It’s important.

This very one, boy! [The woman throws her arms up in frustration at Isaac's question.] Why do you think we're talking about her?!

And if not here, she's probably wandering. That's about all, but she doesn't take kind to any face, familiar or not.

[If it’s his Nicole, he can completely understand why familiar faces wouldn’t be welcome. After what he’s been through, he can even sympathize.]

…can’t say I’m surprised by that. Does she have a clinic or something?

[A small nod and the woman brings her back up for a moment, fixes her hold on it.]

Believe she does! Somewhere around the market, last time I heard. She's always moving, though.

Okay…I’ll keep an eye out for her, and if I don’t see her, I’ll try the clinic.

[Isaac’s starting to get his hopes up about this, so he sounds a bit happier than before. Of course, he’ll probably start having second thoughts about meeting Nicole the longer he thinks about it.]

[The woman gives him a look for a moment, not sure what he means by those words but the fact that he looks happier has her weirded out. A shake of the head and she waves him off before turning around, walking off.]
