crash
my cousin Nathan is not okay though. He was in a motorcycle accident last night. My parents just got back from the hospital. He broke both his legs and is in surgery as a I write this. his sternum is also broken (the bone between your ribs.) As for brain activity-- he is really highly medicated b/c of the breaks and b/c onyl one kidney is working, his liver is bruised and his lungs are really bad too. So we will know in a few days.
When my aunt first got to the hospital she kept saying, "Nathan its mom. You're going to be okay. you are in the hospital. If you can hear my squeeze my hand" She said that a lot of times and he squeezed once. So hopefully that is a real sign and not just a fluke.
What happened was that Nathan was on his bike and a young girl in a neon turned left and hit him. Here is a picture of his bike. You can see his shoe and the hub cap of the neon stuck inside Nathan's bike:
