DREAM!!

Apr 16, 2007 10:33

Okay so this is a weird dream I just had last night.  REALLY weird.

So, I'm with John, and we're behind an old cement building that's covered in grafitti, and there are two train tracks that we're between.  The tracks are broken and splintered, and the trains are also run down and covered with grafitti.  It's not snowing out, but the ground is covered in snow and we want to take a walk.
Then, all of a sudden, John is gone and its just me walking.  I'm walking in between the train tracks for aways, but eventually they disapear and I'm walking down a snowy path in the woods.  To the right of me there is endless woods, and to the left of me there is a snowcovered lake surrounded by a fence.  So, I'm walking a little while (it's broad daylight by the way) and I happen to look down, and there's a black gun laying at my feet.
By now, the lake is gone and to the left of me there is a stretch of field leading into more woods, but I would have to step down off of a small stone wall (in place of the fence) to get to it.  I pick up the pistol and look out into the woods and I wonder to myself if someone killed themselves, and if I should look for a body.  Then I decided not to-quite casually lol- and I put the gun down where I find it and keep walking.
I'm still walking along for another little while, and the scenery remains the same, but this time I look down and I see a CD.  It's a shinedown cd, and on the cover in big letters is 45. Like the gun, AND the song 45 is an anti-suicide song.  weird huh?  So then I look to my left towards the field again, still holding the cd.  Directly to the left of me about two feet away are two trash barrels standing right next to each other, with two paths of them having been dragged into the far off woods, and there were footprints.  By now I was starting to get a  little weirded out.
The trash barrel on the right is full of twigs and green pine needles.  The trash barrel on the left is completely empty, but when I look down over the brick wall I can see all the pine needles and sticks spilled out over the side, so I just put down the cd where I found it and keep walking.
After walking for a little while longer, my dream-self starts to get a little creeped out, hearing noises and getting nervous.  So, I turn around and start a slow, even jog (a dream-jog I guess) back homewards.  Then, I hear a growl.
Behind me, at the edge of the woods on the right, is a big ANGRY dog.  He barks and -actually- ROARS, before starting to chase after me.  I try to fight him, and I hit him, but it's just not hard enough.  He backs off for the time being, but he continues to follow me.
I am steadily running away from the angry dog, who is steadily running after me.  The distance between us never changes, until we get back to the trains.  I knew by the trains that I was almost to freedom.  But instead of the train tracks and trains being broken down, they are completely in tact-and the trains are running.  I am standing on the train tracks.  Luckily for me, the trains were moving unusually slow and I found myself able to escape them easily.  The angry dog, who had been following me, attacked again as one train was passing us.  I picked him up by the snout and threw him into the moving train.  He fell onto the ground and begun to howl.
I watched him for a few minutes, and shortly after he fell he stood up again.  Still whining, he came up and sat by my side.  Apparently I had made a new friend.
Finally we made it passed the train and I found myself coming out into my street with the dog and a number of other people I hadn't met before, from where florence circle and sunset drive meet.  Almost to freedom, and I was very. very cold.
My street was not snowy; it was summer.  I was almost out of all that snow.  But as I tried to step off the final mound of snow onto the summery ground, the snow cracked beneathe me and I fell into very icey water.  I knew, by walking, I would never live to see my front door.  Someone (I forget who) offered me a ride up the street in his car.  By now I was the only one again.  I got into his car and he drove me right to my front door.
When I got inside my mother asked where I had been.  "I'll tell you in a minute" I said. "I have to get out of these clothes."

Does anyone know what this crazy and symbol-filled dream could mean?!
