My house...it's utterly destroyed. Everything...every window is shattered. Everything I own is broken and the floor is littered with pieces of my life.

First my synagogue and then my home. It's...devastating. But when I realised that, had Peter not warned me, I would have been home and therefore, probably not still living and breathing, as I ( Read more... )

Oh, Victor, I am so sorry about your home. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know.

I'm so grateful you're still with us. So you are very welcome.

Oh shit. Dude... there are no words for that. I can't believe these fuckers! If you need a place to stay man, you're totally welcome at mine. There's room, seriously.

Fuck, I'm so glad you weren't there. This is so scary. Having this sort of thing happen while on tour is one thing, but here at home? It's something else altogether.

Oh, no... Vic. Sweetie, I'm so sorry. Those bastards. I saw so much destruction out there, but I never thought... if I'd known it was going to come to you... I don't know. I'm just actually quite speechless.

I second the offer of a place to stay, though. You're always welcome with me.

People are not words. You are so right. We may create words to express ourselves, to express truth, but in the end, hearts cannot be defined in words alone. They will not define us, in life or in death.

Well, I'm alive. So they didn't destroy me. Just things. I'll be alright.

As you are with me. Just...not at my house at the moment because no one's welcome there right now...

No they will not.

Yes. Things don't make a man. And you are one hell of a man, Vic.

Very fair point, there.

Right back at you. Except for the man part.

This is so utterly wrong and fucked up. So much destruction... what do these people even expect to have left? I don't, I can't, understand it. And bloody hell, I'm glad for that.

If there is anything I can do for you, know it shall be done in an instant.

I think they expect to have pieces of people. They're shattering. If you break something, it's never quite as strong as it was before, even if you glue it back together with superglue. They want pieces. So we have to be unbreakable. Or...amorphous. Which is probably a little more reasonable...

Thank you so much, Spectre.

I think you'd be surprised how well I can do amorphous. I think you're quite right, about all that. You've certainly gotten to the heart of the matter in your inimitable style, which only proves that they've done you no true damage. Victor Rosenberg is alive and well, and the world can at least rest easy in knowing that.

My friend, you are most welcome.

They certainly haven't. And when I have the energy to write again, people are going to read just that.
