At this moment, it's Freya Crescent from FFIX. I've been replaying IX to do the massive screencap dump, and I love everything about Freya and her friendship with Zidane. She really calls him on his bullshit.

Because it came out of nowhere and clubbed me over the head, basically. P3 may well be the single game that's affected me most since FF6 or maybe FFT. Likewise I didn't expect to like Yukari so much at all, she's far from my usual type, but by the time I was halfway through the game I couldn't stand the thought of not having her to myself.

Actually, that's a good question. Besides the fantastic app story of awesome from CFO, what made you and Raph decide to app FF12 and those two in particular? I never got very far in the game, and I... well, you know... I always kind of got the impression that pretty much nobody likes Vaan.

(I mean, I don't mean anything by that. Lord knows Yukari gets a fair bit of hate from her fandom. It's something I accept.)

I still feel so bad about FF12. Man, you know, FFTA2 ate my soul and made me really think that this new concept of Ivalice might actually have something for once, and made me want to play FF12 again; but for the life of me I've just never been able to get into the game. I don't know. (Also someone should really app from FFTA2.)

And from FF6... oh, jeez, it's so hard to pick. I love everyone except maybe Strago, but none of them really ping me like that. I think I want to say Locke, on the basis that part of me absolutely insists that anyone else would get him wrong. And that is weird because I really had very little interest in him before all the retranslation stuff, but then suddenly I found myself liking him a whole lot.

Arrgh arrgh arrgh FFTA2. I have tried it and. It is not to my liking. IDK maybe I just can't stomach any "Ivalice" game that hasn't been touched by Matsuno. Which is too bad, because I ADORE Frimelda's character design. As for 12, it's really just a matter of getting through Vaan's step-n-fetch quests in the very beginning. Although I can't really make that argument because that's the exact reason why I haven't finished Kingdom Hearts. Too. Much. Step-n-Fetch.

Anyway! Speaking of the VI retranslation, you know who I came to completely adore and would app with an Edgar if the person I knew who would app Edgar wasn't apping someone else for counselors? SABIN. He's big, meaty, and kinda dumb but he is just so adorable. When you meet him again in the World of Ruin he's all "haha like the end of the world could do me in :D" and it's sort of a moment of relief because usually it's my first stop after the Solitary Island and I always kill Cid :D;; So it's like "SABIN I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU ARE NOT A SAD PANDA" and I want to hug him

I was soooooooooo happy to see Chopper pop up! One Piece is one of my most favoritest things ever (so much so that it is not confined by the bonds of grammar), so I always like seeing OP apps come up. Unfortunately, as I already play Lina and Zidane, apping Nami isn't something I would do. But. Loev One Piece ♥

Oooh, I'm with you on that. I miss the time when CFUD had more of a One Piece cast, and I feel especially bad for it since I used to love the series but I soooooo can't keep up with it anymore.

Anyway, well, that depends. I'm thinking about apping one character in the near future, I'm fairly sure of which one, and that's all. But there are... mm... three or four characters I've seriously considered apping since Yukari, and I may or may not return to any of them later.

Fuck yes I do. God. Yukari IS way more normal than almost much any other character I've even CONTEMPLATED apping, since she's from a serious canon, and it's hard to mix her in with crack, and in all honesty I am probably not creative enough to make the best of that situation compared to many players here. And the Japanese part too, actually, mainly because it makes me less sure than ever what exactly constitutes normal, and also I don't quite know what to do with honorifics especially since canon itself is kinda weird about them. And... yeah.

I worry a whole lot that I'm being boring with her, but I do still love the character so I'm hella determined. And I just adore my castmates, and they don't seem to mind me, so that helps quite a bit. But sheesh, yeah.

Uh. Well I'm running out of ideas, so something that isn't quite just asking you the same question: what makes you feel most insecure about your playing, be it situation-wise or character-wise or what?

Most of the time, it's a character issue. Right now I'm really shaky on Penelo because she's bright and shiny and new and she has a lot more canon in her sequel that I don't actually like.

For Lina I have problems with her temper. I could/should put up a general "disclaimer: Lina Inverse will probably smack you around" post, but I still feel the need to put up big flashing lights whenever I bring her out and...that's kind of a pain in the ass and leeches the fun out of it, so I burn out on her really really fast these days. That and the fandom is actively driving me nuts again. :'(
