In the middle of the fic cause I haven't finished yet, but I saw Windurst, and perked up, then the bit about the ears and the tail-- and Sia's a mithra? /WILD GUESS
I was right YAAAAY, but I thought Windurst's symbol was a tree?
Otherwise: uhm. Uhm. Yes. Yay to horrible inevitability presented in utterly cracked out ways that somehow fit anyway. Why am I such a sucker for horrible things?
It is; the pendant isn't a sigil of the country, it's just a decorative charm with a sun on it. If there was more room for words, there'd be a little footnote about how it was done by crafters from Windurst or how it was just a popular trinket, but there.... wasn't enough space.
High School AU = I'm amazed we're not shot for this yet.
These mini-AUs (and KH2 overall, to an extent) are a lot of fun for me because they're like a playground to sneak as many references in as I can. Like how FFT haunts Magpies! I can't help it. It's like puns, only cameos instead.
I'm just relieved the AUs work out, gah. I know one of the biggest complaints about stuff like this is that the characters aren't recognizable as the characters at all, or have no relation to their canon selves, or something, so hearing that it 'fits' is a big relief.
I totally love that take on the highschool AU, I have to admit.
