I wrote this yesterday afternoon and must have forgotten to post it. Hmmm.

So, I feel better since I've freed myself from the purgatory of spring break. I was so ill of Otterbein when I left winter quarter, I just wanted to go home. I come back to my apartment and it smells like me and my roommates (which is a good smell) and I have chilled orange soda in the fridge and clean clothes. It was nice.

Other nice things are going on as well, but they are hard to explain nice things. Getting into those nice things would require a whole lot of words and dependent clauses so I'll just let sleeping dogs lie. Also, I am afraid I am a bit of a jinx when it comes to nice things. So, to avoid the line "THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!" I will not talk about me or my nice things/happenings/people. But rest assured they are nice, for now. I get good feelings, not "uhhh this could go south real quick" feelings. Positive energy.

And my classes are AMAZING this quarter. Like I told my roommate Bridget this morning, I have a tour du force of the Otterbein English department. For my integrated studies comp/lit seminar I have Tammy Birk who is one of those professors who know how to mix classics and contemporary literature into this gorgeous mashup of wonderful. Similarly, I also have Suzane Ashworsh, who is pretty much one of the most beautiful women on the planet. She totally understands how students work and she flows with us instead of against us. I have her for GLBT Lit which is gonna be AWESOME for me and my poor fiction writing skillz. The first book we're reading is "Giovanni's Room" by James Baldwin. I'm very excited. Finally, I have the chair of the department, Paul Eisenstien, for film and lit. Uhh, this is like heaven on WHEELS for me. And Chris is in there with me, so it will be fun to pass notes as we always do when we have classes together.

But ANYWAY, the point of this entry was to remind myself that no, I'm not going crazy, East Liverpool makes me crazy.
