the year is fairly skipping by.
not much posting recently because not much out of the ordinary going on! lots of ideas, though :). will keep everyone updated should anything concrete happen! in vague terms: thinking about a trip, a writing venture, a decision about work. but again, not much going on yet.
in lieu of personal things, then, i shall express an iota of nervous hope about the UAFA! we inch closer to ACTUALLY MAKING JUSTICE HAPPEN every day now...it really is very exciting. i told esther today that i used to say it would pass in 30 years, then i started saying 15. i think i could actually say 5 now. she thinks this year or next. i love to be hopefully expectant, but i think next year would be pushing it, just because it's about IMMIGRATION, and it doesn't seem like legislation on that happens too fast in general. but you never know...shirley tan has been an awfully good attention-getter these days, bless her heart (and family).
