The Gold Santas
Today I tidied the library (cleaning up after the Christmas bomb) and started unpacking some of the ornaments. Found some of the little gold Santas and their trees. Have set up one set of three on the bottom level of the whatnot (as you come in the front door) and the other set in our bedroom window - which I suddenly realise is beside the front door. Perhaps one set or the other will need a better home.
Here they are:
I bought two sets to get one unique figure in each, that's why it's like seeing double.
One odd thing that has happened since I bought them is that three of the Santas' jackets have tarnished (not unpleasantly) and one hasn't. Quirky.
This afternoon I put out a 10m run of rope lights along the edge of the path. I don't think they had enough time to charge (solar again) to activate tonight so I'll take a photo when they're at their best. That's about it for outside lights ... this year. ;o)
Yet another of the USA trip purchases was put out tonight:
That's the same decoration photographed twice, trying to show that the light inside him changes colour. He's on one of the shelves on the hall bookcase where it's always pretty dark. He's doing a great job there and may well run out of battery before his work is done! He was another KMart purchase and I wish I'd bought more of the set.
