I wrote this one just for fun, you know? It does have implications in the finished story collection, though, where it is part of the main sequence. (Takes place before "Transitions," and yes, these newspaper articles are how Mrs. Weasley learns about Ginny and Harry's unconventional love life.)

Weirdly enough, despite the focus on rumors and scandals, my favorite part is the offhand mention of Draco essentially pickpocketing Rita. I don't know why (and you know, I don't even remember at the moment if it's book or movie canon), but that scene in CoS where he casually steals some other Slytherins' Christmas presents has always amused me; he's such a cute little kleptomaniac jerk.

... OUCH. Poor Mrs Weasley. (you know, I do love the little glimpses here and there, but sometimes I'd love to see more linear chronicles of these three's *cough romance.

And yes! It was a very amusing line. Ah, Draco, you little pest. XD

The timeline of the connected pieces should be more obvious when I finish them all and post the collected version on ff.net. Some of them have been tweaked from the posted versions, so they fit together better. And the final piece (plus a 'tag' ficlet I'm leaning more and more toward writing) should bridge some of the remaining gaps.

It's a horrible way for Mrs. Weasley to find out, but unfortunately, Ginny and Harry hadn't figured out a non-painful way to tell her before the news broke.
