Earthfall by Orson Scott Card.
Bought it from Half Price books a long time ago, but have not really been in mood for science fiction. I didn't have any books on hand to read though, so I started it.
I like it. I'm reading it very slowly. Just a few pages a day. I'm more into nonfiction these days, but still like to have a little dose of fiction in my lives.
I just found out it's the 4th book in a series. I had no idea. Now I have to decide, if I like it, do I go back and read the earlier books?
I doubt it.
I like it. It's keeping my interest. But I'm not loving it yet. At least not enough to read beyond a few pages a day. I was thinking, last night, that there may come a point where I get really into it and read huge chunks at a time. If that happens, I'll read the other books.
