Yesterday, at about 6:00pm, Eighth Division Vice-Captain Ise Nanao and Vaizard Yadoumaru Lisa were attacked in Rukongai, West Fifteenth District. [[The report from Sixth isn't handed in until late Saturday afternoon. Byakuya only just got back on Friday, was playing catch-up, and also happened to be fretting over a particular shinigami from Fourth.

His report is thorough, and mildly incriminating: Byakuya himself was away for several days, investigating the Vaizard, though no one can corroborate his presence in the living world past the morning of the 21st, the Tuesday before the attack. He scouted the living world and then Rukongai, following the trail Kurosaki blazed to Seireitei two years ago (this all, by the way, will be included in more detail in the report concerning his research into Kurosaki, which he has yet to complete and turn in). This places him by his own admission in Rukongai the night of the attack.

Coupled with his complete lack of statement on the issue of the Vaizards at all, and his salient tardiness in handing in his report on Kurosaki and the Vaizards, this may cast some heavy doubt on Byakuya.

His other report is pending further interviews, and at the end of the one he turned in on Saturday, he apologizes for the delay.
