Work, band and a girl!
Had an alllll day meeting with the other area managers with the district manager a couple of people from HR and the divisional manager today. It was mostly about financials, but also some other things like documenting discipline, policy and procedures, etc.
Band practice is set for every Wednesday evening and 2 or 3 of us usually hang around and talk. One guy had to cancel tonight though. Ugh. Sucks to miss so much practice, we've all been so busy with work and life in general that we haven't been able to have enough consecutive practices to be able to confidently book live shows. We were asked to play a festival in memory of a friend of ours who passed away a few years ago.. Loki Fest is in this October, I think we will probably look at the songs we know the best ( we have a new bass player who still doesn't know all the songs ) and maybe just focus on those songs in practice and play a half set. If we can do this, then we can build on other songs to get back to a full set but still play out more often. I have lots of new songs once we get to that point!
So.. I have this girl that I like. It's more than like.. If I could, I would spend the rest of my life with her. BUT - Dear diary, as you know from previous entries.. I can't just make it simple and fall for a local girl. Nooooo... she doesn't live anywhere near me. She was feeling rather sad today, it's days like these where I really wish I could do more. I want to be there to help her... more than anything, I want to protect her. Help when I can. Be a friend when she needs one. Take care of her when she's sick. It's more complex than it seems, but this is my biggest goal in life.
