That is how Charlie starts off all of his letters. And even if we have no idea who this friend is, throughout reading the book, we find out everything about Charlie.
Although, at the same time, we stay completely clueless. The whole book is an adventure through the intimidating freshman year of high school. Through Charlie's letters, you as a reader learn all about his life, from when he was little, and he lived at home with his two older siblings, to when he grew up and his brother left for college and his sister was getting ready to leave herself.
I only just finished this book, and I went through it in one sitting. I started reading, and I couldn't stop. Every time I turned the page, something new was happening, and it all left me wondering what is going to happen next? It truly is a very lovely book, and I honestly believe that, no matter what your taste in books is, you should give it a try.
