;_; So sad but so beautiful. I love how you write those moments of Dan's total incoherence and crazy thought patterns. I also loved the Ned/Rufus subplot. :P And I definitely like that you came up with a good explanation for why we don't see Jones at the hospital in the show, because that bothered me.

(And <3 Jones and his mechanical and art projects are LOVE)

Oh Dan & Jones <3 :(

I hate that Jones isn't at the hospital! I have like 40 different reasons for it in my head. That Ned/Rufus business just stormed its way in and refused to leave and now I really want them to love each other.

So happy you liked, thank you! And if it's any consolation for the sad, I most definitely envisioned them getting it all sorted out eventually after the end of this. ;P

Wow. This is wonderful. You've really captured Dan in this and the article was spot on. The whole thing is so sad, but it has just the right element of hopefulness at the end. Brilliant job!

Thank you! ♥ The article was what made me take the prompt, as it pretty much inserted itself fully-formed in my head. And yeah, I like hope. *pets boys who need lurrrrve*

Yay, I've been waiting for something from a fandom I know to pop up on lgbtfest

This is beautiful. Sad, but beautiful. And I do appreciate the glimmer of hope at the end ;)

I love the idea of Jones working on his van (nice touch with naming it Betty - can I assume that's an homage to Dave's car?) It's nice to see him doing something other than standing at his decks all the time, which seems to be the trend in most fics (not that I mind, I just like seeing the guy do something else once in a while) ♥

:D Sorry for spamming your flist, then! I know I saw some Boosh prompts signed up for so there's something to look forward to.

*is bad fan* Heh, it's actually an homage to my first car (which I named after Bettie Page, like you needed that information) and I either knew that and forgot or didn't know it. But I love happy coincidences.

YES. I am of the firm opinion that Jones does all the DIY round the flat (and obviously paints and decorates) but I love him knowing his way around machines, oh yes. *fans self*

Thank you, and glad you liked!

Ah, good to hear - I never checked the sign-up list but there were some great prompts available

Oh, sorry! Not a bad fan at all, I just have far too much random knowledge from his Twitter shoved into my brain :p If anything, you can revel in the two of you kind of having something in common. heh.

And I very much like the image of Jones being this jack of all trades. Especially the mechanics portion because the image of him all up under the hood was... mmm. I approve ;) Great work.

All I can say is that this is a piece that could have only been written by you. It's got your style all over it, that sort of stream-of-consciousness thingness that pulls me right in. It never matters if I know the fandom as long as you're the one writing the story.

Good show, as always.

Thank you, dear! And I can't thank you enough for all your help in the brainstorming and listening to me think things through. Hee, I have style and thingness. *is disgustingly pleased with self*

Oh my goodness. I am so swept away by this. Just incredibly true to the show and characters, and I could just feel everything with Dan, and the writing was brilliant in its fluid, shifting narrative form. I'm just so, so impressed.

This is one of those rare fics that makes me want to go seek out everything that author's written. Do you have your works collected somewhere? Wow.

Oh, thank you so much! ♥ That doesn't really cover how happy this comment makes me, but thank you! Most of my stuff is here tagged fic and with whatever fandom it belongs to. Of course, the more recent Barley and Boosh stuff I've written for boosh_shorts and booshbattle isn't all here yet. It's mostly a staggering quantity of Jeeves & Wooster with some Star Trek and Hot Fuzz mixed in, and Torchwood if you go kind of way back. Erg, I should probably do some archivey-housekeeping.
