I've had the file up all day. I re-read little bits of it. Any bit. It's all really wonderful. Your dialogue is so spot on and I can just hear it in my head and it's one of the things that makes your Dan/Jones like no one else's. I love that your Jones is so clever and mechanical, but he's not a show-off. I love that both their knowledge and love of music is such a part of the story, and comes, I have to assume, from your own knowledge and love of it. I love that Jones can charm old ladies (and that there's a good reason for it!). I love the details, the little things, that make them and the story come to life.

The tattoo scene, the hug in the kitchen, the kiss in the rain, the typewriter (<3 <3 <3), the postcards.

If you want to write missing scenes from this I'll read them forever.

Honestly, this Jones and my Kinder Egg Jones are probably my favorite Joneses of mine (they are similar because I guess I sort of have a "Fundamental Truths of Jones" that lives in my head, but not the same person, if that makes any sense) and I'm a little especially in love with this one.

Guilty as charged of music-nerd-ness. :) Luckily what little canon we have for what Dan likes extrapolates well to me imposing my tastes on him.

Um, and I may have to write missing scenes forever because there are SO MANY I wanted to exist that there was either no place to put them or there just wasn't time. AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT. :D

That was just the part I liked best! I really loved this Jones. There was more savant to him than idiot. You made this ship make sense. I'm all for "Because it's hot" being reason enough for Dan/Jones, but you give them things to talk about.

And the sex was fantabuous! Memed!
