All this and a day dream....Pt. I

Pools of blood. Droplets black as onyx fall silently, creating scarlet ripples. This sight captivates me for quite some time until I turn towards the sound of the black violin. I know now who plays her, but that beautifully delicious melody could not come from any other instrument.

I step forward into a dimly lit hall, its walls tapering up into dark archways. I continue to delicately follow her cries up a staircase opening into an indoor garden. Precious ivy crawls up every pillar in search of light. Cannabis plants grace the corners of the room. And white roses, oh those angelic white roses. Sinews of light shaft down among these beauties. They are so ethereal, I must touch them.

As the music sweetly drips into my ears, I approach the flowers slowly, so I can relish each moment; take them in with my ocean eyes. A porcelain hand, my own, reaches out to graze the velvet snow-white petals with gentle fingertips. I begin to weep with ecstacy, for this is a most fair sight. I touch a little rosebud, and watch in wonder as it effloresces beneath my hand. Surely I can stay forever, I thought. But then, the black violin gets louder, and her soulful calls beckon to me.

With one last longing glance, I wipe the last tear being shed and walk on toward amethyst doors, emblazoned with sapphire jewels and laced with porphyry...
