Oh hey!
So California was BEYOND incredible I truely fell in love with the west coast in 5 days. The trip was excellent Steph and I had an amazing time and we got along every step of the way like I knew we would. I really love my big sister with all my heart and soul I felt like we went as best friends much more than siblings. It was truely a vacation to remeber.
Our plane left JFK at like 7am and I landed in San Francisco at 10am...the time change FUCKED me up. Oh my god.
So we got off we took the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) back to the hotel where we got settled in then ate some Subway. It was so surreal I couldn't believe we were on the other side of the continent. We headed down to Fisherman's Wharf and saw Alkatraz Island and we did some shopping and drank at this bar called Wipe Out. We saw all the wild seals come up on the pier and started fighting one another for a sunny spot haha it was hysterical it was like a free comedy show to watch these things interact with one another. Then we got some food at a local restaurant and we were both EXHAUSTED so we passed out at like 9:30.
Next day we went out for some shopping THANKFULLY an American Eagle was right on Market st. around the corner so I blew a few bucks on some more clothes and kick ass pair of sunglasses. Then we met up with some of Steph's coworkers for some drinks and whatnot then continued shopping. That was about it and then we ate at the Tonga Room which was Hawaiian themed inside and you got a lay of flowers upon walking in the door =P
Then Saturday was the big day we treked 32 miles along a trail over the Golden Gate Bridge. The view and the experience was breath taking and the view from up there was epic. Our feet killed us after that but we made up for it by napping for a few hours then we went out to eat at this 5 star rated place called Chaya which was an American/Thai restaurant. The food was to die for I had filet mignon and california roll. Mhmmm =)
Then the next day we took a walk to the Mission and Castro which was like this openly gay and lesbian community. To see homosexuality so open in a town was definately eye opening I've never seen so many same sex couples holding hands down the street. For me of course it was definately a welcoming sight that it was so accepted.
Next day we flew home...we were so wiped out and the trip was worth the 2 month wait. If you have my facebook def. go and check out the pics I put up I think you'll get a kick out of the videos.
Yesterday Kirsten and I saw Paramore in Central Park. Hayley William is officially the shit. She electrified the stage with her music and when she played MIsery Business as the last song the crowd went ballistic.
Another one of my fav. bands played there as well, Jack's Mannequin. I was so pumped to hear them play Dark Blue but of COURSE when the song began fucking stupid ass pre teens started mashing. How the fuck do you mash to Jack's Mannequin? So we started getting freaked out and by the time we fought our way OUT of the mash pit the song was over. So I was pissed about that...oh well I was over it. Paramore took the house.
Ok heart...are you with me? Let's give it a go one more time.
