Life, the Universe, and Everything Birthday

I'm 42 today and about to go to lunch with some colleges. I've already received a bunch of birthday greetings on numerous social networks and via email, and have received nice gifts. agrathea woke me with a gigantic breakfast to start the day. Birthday greetings have come in from all over the world and have included ones from my brother and a friend in SA that I had lost touch with until recently. A couple of really touching greetings as well (esp from gerisullivan). Even my sister, who was not really talking to me, dropped me a line. A good day so far and it has a good feel to it as well. Hell there's even sunshine, and this time of year you don't get much of that in Portland Oregon. Tonight we'll join a bunch of local writers a for writing and then dinner. If you're in PDX and want to join us please let me know ASAP. We also plan a little party for the end of the month (31st) and the same applies there too. All welcome to both (reply here to let me know). Not the big shindig I'd originally planned, but a fun occasion nonetheless.

I'm happy.
