[Christmas! Koishi's never heard of the holiday before, but all the drone kids at school were talking about Santa so much, so she was excited to see what was going to happen! She woke up before everyone else in her house, and is now tearing into a long package addressed to her

[Late to the party is...Okuu! Who is just now waddling into the room--yes, on foot, it is too early to fly--perhaps attracted by the noise or maybe the smell of decaying flesh.

The raven yawns, can't really see into the box from this angle, trundles up to Koishi's side and...is promptly distracted by the tinsel. It's shiny.]

[As freaky as finding her sister's severed arm in a box is, Koishi isn't too freaked to notice Okuu's ADD kicking in. So she giggles, pulling some of the tinsel off the tree and flicking it at the raven.]

Unyu!

[Okuu hops backwards when the shiny stuff attacks her!

...but some lands on her head, and yet nothing exciting happens. Well, maybe it tickled a few feathers, but nothing exploded or burst into flames. And it was very shiny. Okuu tilts her head up as if to get a better look--and the tinsel falls right off onto her back out of immediate sight. The raven squawks and spins around in place, rather like a dog chasing their own tail.]

[And this is why you're the favorite, Okuu! You're just so damn adorable and funny. So Koishi is going to flick more tinsel at you, still giggling.]

[She catches the tinsel this time! Some of it. Another bit lands on her tail.

...now what do I do with it?

Okuu puts it down on the ground, turns her head this way and that as if to get different perspectives, and then struts in a circle all the way around it

Then the raven pauses, looks up at Koishi's head, and a lightbulb comes on in her brain. She plucks up the shiny silvery thing, flaps up to Koishi's shoulder, and attempts to tuck it in her hair. It (kind of) matches!]

[Koishi reaches up, giving the raven a few nice scritches. Her silly antics have completely taken Koishi's mind off the discarded box with the severed arm inside, woo!]

Thanks! Is that your present for me today, Okuu?

[The raven turns her head over to the side, a spot on her cheek was particularly itchy, and--oh. She blinks.]

...unyu!

[Well, Okuu's thought processes hadn't gotten that far ahead. But sure why not?]
