I warn you in advance, this is going to be a rant and a half. I'm all moan moan moan recently and I apologise... but this. This is crazy lol.
So, a preset to this story... a couple of weeks ago, a girl came over to stay the night which was fine apart from Kevin not asking as usual. Anyway, she was quite cool right up to the point that the next day, the police burst into our flat asking for all our details, saying that the girl had been arrested and needed somewhere to stay, so could she stay with us for the night while they sort out somewhere official? Why, you ask? Oh, because she's 15. Fifteen. Well done, Kevin. You sure know how to pick them.
(I should add that nothing has actually happened between them as far as I know, otherwise I wouldn't really be posting publicly about this lol)
Four days later, she was still hanging around, not acting grateful for our hospitality, using my shampoo without asking... but most of all, Kevin was taking us for granted too because, for example, Ash was supposed to be helping me in the shop with a delivery, and Kevin decided to bugger off to Lewes without telling anyone. So not only did we have a stranger in our flat, we had a child in our flat who legally could not be left unattended. Bearing in mind that the police had our details as being "responsible" for her. You still with me? Cause I'm sure not.
Why is it that the police asked US? We had known her for about 12 hours when they asked us to look after her... for one night.
Anyway, cut to a couple of weeks later and they still haven't found her anywhere. She's been sleeping at someone else's house, but for reasons unknown to us, she came back to ours a few days ago without asking (us anyway, I assume she asked Kevin) and still hasn't left. Kevin might be happy about this, but me and Ash are not.
Now up to this point, I don't mind too much. She's actually a really nice girl in a very, very bad situation. I feel sorry for her and we all get on, but now it's getting worse and worse. The other night, she decided it would be A GREAT IDEA AT MIDNIGHT to dye her hair. When Kevin was like, 'ugghh, now?!' she proceeded to throw a strop until he agreed (but not before pushing him into my table so that things fell off). The packaging from bleach and hair dye is still in our bathroom, there is hair dye on our expensive bath mat (our AWESOME bath mat :(), the tiles on the wall, and the door.
Last night, she asked whose Mickey Finns was in the fridge and could she have some (because it literally seems that she can't go one day without drinking alcohol). Ash said okay but not too much... two minutes later and the bottle is almost empty. That's partly (mostly) Kevin's fault because he decided to pour himself an entire glass. Without asking if he could have some, too.
But none of those are bad as Friday night (oh yeah, it gets worse). Me and Ash were going out, and Kevin went up to London to see his parents in the afternoon. Instead of keeping his keys with him like any sane person, he GAVE THEM TO THE GIRL. He gave keys to OUR FLAT to what is essentially still a stranger. Yeah, cause I'm happy with that when we have computers, TVs, games consoles and money from the shop lying around, and the first time we met her she got arrested. Yeah, that's fucking fantastic by me.
Not only that, but yet again he didn't consider that it's illegal to leave her on her own anyway. As it turns out, she was going out anyway, so it didn't affect us. That's when it turned funny. 9.30pm, I get a text from Kevin asking if we're home yet 'cause he's on his way back from London... and doesn't have flat keys. Sorry mate, we're out until 2am. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA.
Sucks. To. Be. You.
But really, I'm sick of this. I want to come home and relax after working hard all day, but oh no, this child's in our flat. Yesterday she came back from Brighton to unveil a shisha bong thing (which she had bought for £50 with money from selling rings that her gran had left to her... she would be so proud) and insisted that I must try it with her. Insisted. Like it's a normal fucking thing to do (I suppose it is in her world, she has about 23958402902 anecdotes and every one involves being high and/or drunk... but usually high). She also spent her money on cheek piercings, and spent most of last night complaining that it hurts to eat and laugh. I dunno, maybe you should think before you do things. Just an idea. Then we watched TV and she kept playing music over it. She acts like she not only lives with us, but can do what she likes when she likes, no matter who it involves.
It's kind of proving my theory that no one has any respect or consideration for anyone else any more. :(
