Shitty day in the shop... and Muse.
We just had an awesome week, a proper blog about it will come later. However, it ended on a low note as me & Toady had a big fight this morning, and suddenly I had to call him into the shop because IT WAS RAINING INSIDE.
No kidding, I was serving a customer, literally just thinking how lucky I was to be inside as the worst torrential rain I have HONESTLY ever seen (and I come from Orkney, for fuck's sake!) streamed down the high street like a massive river, when I heard some dripping behind me. Weird, I thought, and suddenly water started gushing FROM THE CEILING. I yelled 'OH MY GOD, SHIT!!!!!!!' in front of about ten elderly customers, who all said, 'pfft, I would have said the same thing!!!!!!' whilst grabbing every bucket in sight to collect the water. In the freak ten-minute shower, we filled four big black buckets all along the front of the shop. It was ridiculous.
In the end, we had to send everyone out because the flooding was so bad, behind the counter was literally one massive puddle. So we closed the shop for two fucking hours, I was not impressed at all! In the end, we went back and re-opened, but we had to have the till at the back of the shop on top of a chest of drawers from the flat LMFAO it was actually ridiculous but luckily everyone was understanding about it. It was such a strange day though, it didn't really feel like we were actually open.
Anyway, considering we had two hours closure, we didn't do too bad financially. :-) So it's all good, just a bit... well, annoying!! Oh, and me & Toady seem to be a lot better now, so yay! :-)
