My favorite part, though, is when House rescues the Scotch Wilson is about to spill.

The thing with Wilson was one of those rare bits of backstory where, the moment you think of it you know it must have happened. It just explains too much about the specific ways in which Wilson's screwed up. Poor young Jimmy, damned if he did or if he didn't.
Pretty sure it was Nightdog who put in the part about the rescued Scotch. The drunken drooling and the "cheap date" line were hers for sure. <3

"So you grew up to be the lying, cheating, secretive, manipulative bitch that I love." - Oops! Nearly said too much there House - although I suspect that Wilson knows that anyway :)
Can't blame them for wanting the light on and some comforting drink after their experiences in the haunted house...
A delilghtful visit as always to this 'verse :)

Thank you so much. :-)

Was Wilson still awake when House let the "love" slip? (I think he may have been fake-sleeping to get more affection from House, the manipulative bitch.) You have a great talent for having them sweetly snuggle in bed yet still be perfectly IC. ♥

I'm not sure just when I got the idea that Wilson as a kid had discovered a parent's infidelity and been saddled with keeping that secret, pretending everything was fine, perhaps even being put in a position where he was having to knowingly lie. But it may be my finest bit of fanon; it explains an awful lot.
