new poem, no title

[third_eye22]

the morning light just barely
peeks through my window
as i wait with tired insomnia eyes
for a bitter taste of restless sleep
life seems to stand still
for one glorious moment as i
take in one long breath

a warm body by my side
purring loudly with content
as it watches over my
troubled state and
waits for me to join him
in dreamland
he'll chase mice as i sip lemonade
and sprawl infront of a happy sun
as he does every moment he can when he
awakes, unlike his mistress

there is but nothing so pleasant on
this earth as the love of a creature
where no human could, in hardest effort,
give wonderful advice and comfort
in total silence
the sun, rather shy this morning
cant even face me at the right time today
waits for me to close my eyes
before his grand enterance
and the moon in her graceful glance
stalls to make sure im at some peace
before she leaves for the night
