Root (Beer) of All Evil Pt 1.4
On Friday I tried Bulldog Rootbeer. At first taste I thought it had potential as its root beer flavor was very bold. It then followed with what appeared to be a strong sweet vanilla flavor. Initially I thought it was unique in a cool way. But it was so strong it was to the point where I was looking for something to wash the taste from my mouth. It was so bad that I couldn't even finish it. Needless to say it rated last in my informal rankings.
One of the reasons I wanted to do the Great American Root Beer Showdown is that I didn't have a consistent way of rating the root beers. What I ate just prior, how cold the bottles were and what other root beers I drank all affected my rankings.
bageler went to BevMo and got over 30 different bottles of root beer. I'm going to pick up a few more as well. So we should have a pretty good representation for the showdown.
