Thoughts on SPN 6.05
Spoilery thoughts are under the spoiler cut because they're all spoilery.
Sad to say, this was the one episode so far this season that I didn't love. Don't get me wrong, I did LIKE it; I definitely don't want the 41.25 (thank you megavideo timer) minutes of my life back, but it felt like filler. Aside from vamp!Dean, which was done okay, we established three things.
1) Monsters are being weird
2) Dean and Lisa's relationship is rocky
3) Sam has a problem
I knew all that already.
The redeeming feature for me was Jared. I love how he's playing evil!Sam. He's doing nothing that Dean could point to and say THERE! That's how I know you're bad now! Bad, BAD Sam!. Instead, it's just this total absence of caring about the one person he's meant to love more than anyone and his complete disinterest in where that love went. It's sociopathic and fascinating.
And YAY for next week! Surprise!Cas!!!!!! Yatta!
And can anyone clarify a particular spoiler for me that I've seen floating around the web in a few places? It's below, for those of you who don't want to see it. Otherwise, scroll down.
Why are people saying Cas is going to be "getting some ass" in episode 6.10? Is there any reference for that? Did Misha say something about it at a con or what? And if it turns out to be verifiable but Castiel just buys a donkey or something, I'm gonna laugh till I cry!
Also, just so I know, would any of you be interested in an English transription of the Supernatural anime once it airs? My Japanese isn't spectacular (I'm classed as "high-intermediate", whatever that means) but my husband would help me and I would be willing to give it a shot if time permitted and people wanted to see it.
