This was really great and touching. I was able to switch mindsets into imagining George as a female immediately, as you wrote her so firmly as a female from the very first sentence. I could really feel her frustration at not being able to live the way she felt she was, at having to hide her entire identity, and only share it with Fred, and even he didn't fully understand or accept it.
Someone once told me that the most frustrating part of being trans was the sense of not being able to have a "liveable life". You're not living as the person youare; you're just acting out a role. That really stuck with me and I wanted to get it across here. Thanks for letting me know that worked for you - much appreciated!
Aww, that was lovely. :') And really interesting to think of the twins this way, especially with Fred's death. I'm sure this will end up being my image of George next time I read the books!
