Covenant, etc: I think that both Client and Mechanical Cabaret suffered from poor mixing. Both bands are lyrically strong, and part of the performance is lost if you cannot hear them. I have seen MC before and was amazed at Roi's rapport with the crowd. I would blame the sound engineer rather than the bands. I enjoyed Client, but I think they suffered from poor sound balance too. Covenant just blew me away. Replacing Clas with Daniel (cloned many times) Myer was a stroke of genius. The live sound is better than ever; they all looked as if they were having the time of their life - it was infectious! Tan won't allow me to say they performed better than Rotersand, so we have compromised on equal places :D
I wish I was going to see Marsheaux, purely based on your enthusiasm. Unfortunately mid-week gigs in London are difficult for me. I will however find a copy of their album to listen to.
