The probability that a person was male was one in two.

The probability that a person was gay was one in ten.

The probability that a person was blond was one in fifty.

The probability that a person lived in Japan was one in fifty one.

The probability that a person knew Atobe was one in a ten thousand.

The probability that a person could stand Atobe for a prolonged period of time was zero in a million.

Trailing gentle fingers down Jirou’s neckline, Atobe leaned in to press a soft kiss against the sleeping boy’s forehead. The skin was warm beneath his lips and he was in awe of the boy’s delicate features. It just wasn’t plausible that such a fine specimen of male beauty would be lying here beside him, their naked bodies pressed against each other, the moonlight sifting in through the window. The laws of probability simply did not allow it.

He tightened his grip around the sleeping boy in case probability decided to change its mind. He decided that probability and the laws of mathematics no longer had any say in the matter.

Closing his eyes, Keigo drifted off into sleep, all protests to the unlikeliness of the whole situation trapped in his mouth.

Because he knew, even with someone as great as Atobe was, that by breaking the laws of probability Jirou had accomplished the impossible. Broken laws that Atobe had not even begun to ponder how to break and thus probably superceded and beaten Keigo in this respect. And with images of honeyed eyes gazing into his own, soft lips beneath his and tawny hair tickling his broad chest filling his dreams, the captain of the Hyoutei tennis team, ore-sama, found that he didn’t care.
