It was a Sunday night and surprisingly the contemporary band did not have any schedules or events to attend. Jonghyun lounged on the couch, head hanging up- side down over the edge. He tapped the pen he held against his bottom lip trying to think of the next line of lyrics for the new song he was working on. Across from the song writer sat Key, reading the newest issue of his fashion magazine. The dorm peacefully quiet minus the loud yells coming from the two boys playing video games in front of the shared television. Minho and jinki were duking it out in the new ninja assassins game, battling for the title of champion.
“Hyungs!?”
Suddenly every head turned towards the voice coming from computer room.
“What does ‘I’m feeling lucky’ mean?” Key shot out of his seat first, worried that the corrupted internet was tainting his son’s innocence. The others followed behind the group’ umma, curious of what kind of content the young maknae could be looking up. Sadly, their lingering thoughts were smushed. Taemin’s computer screen showing the google search engine.
“watch. When I type in shinee replay and click the ‘I’m feeling lucky button‘, this happens.” completing the steps in his explanation, the computer loads the mystery site.
“see this pops up.” five sets of eyes scan the page displaying arrayed fan fiction and art dedicated to different shinee members and the couple groups they were placed in.
“what is this?” key’s features consorting into a confused expression, his eyes fixed on the numerous shinee icons running down the right side of the page.
“it‘s shinee fan- fic heaven,” Jonghyun responded, reading the various title names over Taemin’s shoulder.
As his group mates gawked at the finding, Minho voiced the logical idea to read one.
“no,” jinki yelled, swatting Minho’s reaching hand away from the mouse.
“Are you crazy? what if crazy fans hack into our computer and track down the address to where we live!?! We could get ganged raped! I don‘t wanna die.”
Minho ignored the hyperventilating leader’s incoherent babbling of stalkers and mobs, and clicked the first fiction on the screen.
The story flashed onto the computer and Shinee leaned forward, silently reading the plot to themselves. Everyone slowly became addicts to each drama and fictional scenario.
Jinki laughed at all his fabricated character’s lame jokes, stating that he needed to use these on their up and coming TV appearances. Jonghyun being the king of skinship loved any smut between him and a certain diva. Minho claimed that these stories were much more entertaining than any previous manga he had ever read and key the sucker for romance loved every fluffy-filled line.
Well almost everyone loved the shinee replay live journal community. Unfortunately, the young maknae did not share the same joy as his hyungs. every time an “inapporiate” part
occurred in a fiction, key cover his eyes, insisting that he wasn’t older enough to be exposed to this type of graphic language. Frustrated, taemin pushed his seat out from in front of the computer and stalked out of the room. He Mumbled angrily about how he was the one who found the website and should be allowed to read its content.
Hours pasted and taemin decide to retire to bed pausing momentarily to stick his head inside the small darkened computer room, checking on his hyungs. Peeking inside taemin saw the four oldest members of shinee hovering over the computer, transfixed at the words on the screen.
“yah go to bed already, we have an early schedule tomorrow and the manager will hate if we are late!” Taemin stood in the door way of the room hands on hips glaring at the others. No one paid him any mind, only shooing him away with waving hands.
The clock read 5; 13 am when shinee’s maknae skipped down the stairs into the living room where his manger stood.
“where is everyone?” the manager tapped his foot impatiently waiting for the others to walk down ready for their first round of schedules today.
“computer room,” taemin answered simply watching the angered manager stomp off in the directions of his hyungs.
“I told ya so,” taemin smirked, enjoying his small vengeance for not being allowed to read the fictions too.
