I'm back from my mother's where I did not watch any dramas because I got a migraine :-(
My mom is doing OK. She's kind of low energy, which makes her a bit easier to deal with, I realized.
Saturday morning before I left I did a workout with Ty and Amy, like old times. It was fun. My knee has ups and downs but it makes me happy to be able to do lunges and squats again (it's not so much that I like doing them as that I like being able to do them).
It rained all day today so my hair is practically in an afro (it's curly but usually not this curly, it's just SO HUMID). Every time I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror I would think "How did my hair get so SHORT?" I did cut it, and most of the time I like it shorter, but the Austenian halo of curls effect is so not for me. At least not as my main look.
I hope it is not as sticky and humid tomorrow. My plan is to make my son go to the movies with me. I don't know what we'll see, possibly the Transformers movie (though I fear it will give me another headache or bring the old one back) or maybe X Men First Class if it's still around in Brooklyn.
Tonight P & I watched "Made In Dagenham" about women workers at a Ford factory in Essex striking for equal pay (in 1968). It was all quite heartwarming but not exactly what you'd call true to the period. Jamie WInstone looked way better than she did in the pic of her at Glastonbury though ;-)
