2010 in Review
Did you enjoy this year?
Some of it. Sme of it was hellish. In fact, it's probably going to be noted in the annals as a difficult year. Especially the summer.
What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Took a part-time low-paying job purely for the benefits. But it's worked out well.
Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I can't remember if I made any new year's resolutions.
Did anyone close to you give birth?
A co-worker had a little boy.
Did anyone close to you die?
No, but soneone's been dying for a while.
What countries did you visit?
I don't think I went anywhere.
What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
Energy and focus.
What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The day I heard my son was accepted to the school I wanted him to be in.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Keeping my cool and not flipping out and going catatonic during the school search. Seriously, that was the most stress ever. I have PTSD, I think.
What was your biggest failure?
I always feel liek I fail at everything, so this is not a good question for me. But rationally, I would say not being prepared for it to be a bad year financially.
Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had a flu-like illness, and I hurt my knee and I have a chronic ankle problem, but now that I have health insurance I should really start going to the dr again.
Did you have to go to the hospital?
Nope.
Are you registered to vote?
Yup. I voted in November, that day of infamy.
What was the best thing you bought?
I like the purse I got for Christmas ... idk. My phone?
Whose behaviour merited celebration?
I can't think of anyone I want to celebrate.
Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
The US Congress.
Where did most of your money go?
The mortgage.
What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Seeing Jin in Times Square. T getting into the right school.
What song(s) will always remind you of 2010?
That Jay-Z song. Idk if it's even from 2010

Hmmmmm. No, not really. I might hate some of the people I hated then MORE though.

I really enjoyed Colson Whitehead's Sag Harbor.
What was your greatest musical discovery?
I don't know if it's a discovery, but I enjoyed some indie bands like Best Coast, School of Seven Bells, and Washed Out a lot.
What did you want and get?
A new job and health insurance and a new school for T.
What did you want and not get?
A vacation :-(
What was your favourite film of this year?
Inception? I feel like I didn't really see any movies, though I know I did.
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I think I was sick on my birthday. I often am.
What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
More money. Less stress.
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Stripes.
What kept you sane?
My friends, mindless internet distraction, working out.
Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Akanishi, of course.
What political issue stirred you the most?
9/11 responders health bill.
Who did you miss?
My father.
Who was the best new person you met?
I like some of my co-workers a lot.
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010.
If I do high-stress things, I need to figure out how to balance them with healthy stress-relievers. Otherwise I get toxic stress build-up.
What was your favourite moment of the year?
WSE weekend on LI.
What was your least favourite moment of the year?
Hearing that K is getting hospice :-( and H's father died suddenly in his sleep.

On lj, lol.

My family.

Listening to the fireworks, sipping champagne.
