It's not continuous, but it's not going away, either.
So I've been kind of laying low. Yesterday I did a lot of laundry and updated to Snow Leopard on my laptop. As a result I have lots of clean clothes and many new shiny things to play with. I have a new desktop and a new screensaver, yay! (hahaha, who cares about the increased functionality that comes with upgrading the OS when I can watch all the album covers from my iTunes slowly appear and fade away again whenever my machine is idle!)
I actually don't know what new things came with Snow Leopard -- I will have to find a tutorial to see if they are useful to me. I guess the iWork09 suite is supposed to work more smoothly or something. I do use those so that's exciting. And I should probably switch from Eudora to Mail at some point. In the meantime the dock and icons look different, wheeeeee!
LJ, however, still has the Halloween header. It's November 1, people!
Speaking of Halloween it rained and we had NO trick or treaters and Tom didn't want to dress up. So I had mini hershey's bars and beer for dinner. Then I watched some doramas: specifically, "Untouchable" with Nakama Yukie and the 1st three eps of "JIN," the drama about the neurosurgeon who timeslips back to the Edo period and can't avoid becoming involved with politics and Ayase Haruka.
Here's my 5-Second Reviews:
1. Untouchable: if you liked her as Yankumi, you'll like her in this, too, because she pretty much looks and acts exactly the same! Conspiracy theory alert: rival underground groups are plotting to take over the world (or, at the very least, Japan). You shall know them by their colorful and varied lapel pins. As a bonus, includes many cast members from Giragira!
2. JIN: I like to think its subtitle should be "the romance of microbes," since Ayase's character takes notes about sterilization, non-stop, while staring hungrily at the title character, lips parted and brows ever so slightly but prettily knit. Also, if you enjoyed Rurouni Kenshin (or Samurai X) you will love this too. Swords! Kimono! Hakama! Long hair! Plus, the CGI is really nice. On the minus side, there is a lot of vomiting, diarrhea, blood, and brain surgery.
