I want one of these:
I wonder if the shuffle would fit in its mouth too? And what if you had a bigger one for all those similar but just slightly different USB cables? Life would be so sweet.
Todays it's hot so I'm wearing a sundress that's been stuffed behind my dresser since August. It's held up pretty well considering.
Sometimes I think I need to spend as much time getting rid of stuff as I do accumulating it. It goes very much against the grain, but I think it's worth concentrating on. Life was so much easier when I lived on a busy corner near a subway stop, because I knew that anything I put out on the curb would instantly go to a deserving home, with very little effort on my part. In these parts, it would probably grow mold and then I'd get a bank-account crippling summons from the Department of Sanitation.
I need to plan a sally army/goodwill trip with plastic bags full of stuff I don't want any more.
I also need to take a few cats to the vet.
And I need to tell T's math tutor that I've thought about it and I'm going to have him go to math camp this summer and just forget about tutoring for now--I started too late. I really don't think it's her fault. T is a pill when he wants to be and he's kind of perfected his approach as he's gotten older. I emailed his former tutor (who currently has FOUR BLOGS!!!! online--none about tutoring btw) and he instantly responded saying he'd love to have T back again and that his summer schedule is pretty clear and when do we want to start? And T said W00t! about going back to David. So I guess I should give up and do it. I wonder how much he's charging per session now? I hope I can get him to do $100 sessions if I offer to pay him up front for a certain number or something. Kind of like getting a class card at the dance studio. He's using his mother's apartment near the Natural History Museum for tutoring--no doubt she will be in the Hamptons or elsewhere for the summer.
It appears to be 22% less humid today than it was yesterday. I guess the rain did help.
I've been watching Zettai Kareshi and not loving it but not hating it either. I think Maya Miki is so ridiculously underused--she should have a bigger role where she could do more, it's a complete waste for her to be a restaurant owner, a role that seriously, anybody could play. Hell, I could play it. Mocomichi is OK, but I detest his fake smile and the gearhead sound effects. Mizushima Hiro is lovely but completely unbelievable as any sort of corporate type. Does it bug anyone else that hte actor who plays his brother looks exactly like the Soushi in the manga?
I find Aibu Saki very cute, but I could see how some would think her annoying.
Mostly I am loving all the older male actors in the supporting roles--especially Sasaki Kuranosuke as Namikiri, Sasai Eisuke as his boss, and Satoi Kenta as the guy who takes over Soushi's job when he gets demoted ( shachou? kachou? buchou? can't keep it straight). But isn't that kind of slim pickings? It seems to be satisfying me.
I think I should probably watch some of Osen and Around 40 and give up on the manga/je doramas for this season. I'm still waiting for more Binbo Danshi to get hardsubbed.
I think my cold is improving. Perhaps all the sleeping was not in vain.
