Yea, its kinda weird and possibly awkward for the current manager to get that call. Fortunately, your current boss was cool but he should have asked and used your references first.

RIGHT! Total phsyco B! The weird thing is that my friend works there too and thought it was a "logical" request. WTF? Not logical at all.

And plus, this really put a damper on my plan of slapping a resignation letter on my boss' desk and be like "Peace Homie". boo.

NO one has ever asked me this before! They ask for references and I never put my current boss down for fear they'll get pissed and fire me. Glad your boss is cool about it though.

Dumb bitch hasn't even called yet and might not even call. After all that, she doesn't think I'm good enough to check my reference. What a B!
