Literal interpretations
Figurative meaning
Demystifying the not so mysterious
What is obvious is often not the answer
Contradictory meanings exist together as a larger body of the
important views on a work
---I'm going to need some food at some point
But I'm doubting I'm going to be able to get any
Knowledge is the food
There was a hunger
and meaning was the abolishment of famine
But lets bring it back down or back up a notch
to this dimension
Where everything is literal in that it is accesable via touch or sight or some other physical sense
In that vein some would say abstractions have no meaning
But what of purpose
Is purpose not an abstraction itself
As a reason for the existence of something
A wrench exists for the purpose of twisting a nut
That manufacttured object would not have come into being if purpose did not necessitate such a creation
But all this is detailed and explored to some degree in existensialist philosophy and I am restating things that have been said many times before
Abractions matter. Abstraction. Matter. Abstraction vs. Matter. Abstractions Matter.
It is only a matter of the degree to which we choose to acknowledge their importance in the thick meaning of ou everyday lives.
