Darci got 3 shots (Hep A, MMR, and Chicken pox) on Wednesday after school and the one shot that she got on her shoulder (either Hep A, or MMR not sure) has a big bump like a bug bite and has a bruise around it and she keeps complaining that it itches her, even today she was complaining and its several days after she got it. I've never had a shot itch before, for myself or any of their previous shot. Its an unusual reaction.... I hope it clears up soon.
This morning at 9am the in laws picked up the kids for a day at Lemos pony farm, they had a great time riding the train and the ponies and stayed out till 2:30pm.
while the kiddos were off having fun petting beasts that send me to the hospital I had fun with 2 gals from my program, Jessica and Elissa, and began to teach them the fine art of knitting, Jessica it turns out is almost a pro from a summer camp she did, but Elissa is picking it up quickly and we started a project, doing a fish. this is the project if any one is curious:
http://www.knittingknonsense.com/fishytawashi.html we did the tails today and we are going to get together again soon to do more of the fish.
after the J & E left Darci got out my HUGE US #36 Addi knitting needles and proclaimed that she wanted to knit with those. So I got out 5 skeins of acrylic yarn out of my tub and we set to work 4 skeins of pink and 1 skein of white and its going to be a great Darci lap blanket. Darci let me manipulate the needles (its not easy when they are THAT big) and she would wrap the yarn around the needle at the appropriate (and sometimes in between) times.
Darci has had a horse voice all day, she says its a high squeaky voice, and every 10mins would ask me if her squeaky voice was going away, to which the answer was always no and she was very relieved, she thinks her voice is great and that it sounds like her friend (Julianna). She's going to be very sad when her regular voice comes back, and I don't mind the quieter version of Darci, but it can't last. Though I am a bit worried it might get worse before it gets better, tonight she begged for Chinese food, so I went to a fast food Chinese and got one of the combo plates. I love it $6 later 1 combo plate feeds me and both the kids for dinner, granted not the healthiest meals. after we got home and she had her "noodles" she barely ate a few bites, and right before her bedtime she told me she was tired and ready for bed, this girl always tries to beg 5, 10, 160mins extra out of me at bed time. so I'm worried she might be coming down with a cold, and that makes me REALLY worry that Rile might come down with a cold, an probably all my worrying will make me end up incredibly sick with a nasty cold and we'll all be a mess in a few days, or maybe its nothing and just the antics of a 4 year old. I'm definitely hoping for the latter.
