Wow, today was a busy day at work.
BUT. I'm insane to take this offer, but I can't resist the lure of MONEY. After all, at this point, all it is is gain - workstudy money I get to put into a bank account to use to pay next year's tuition. HA.
Er. Right, the point. My boss - the actual computer services help desk lady - is not going to be at work until halfway through my regular shift. Meaning that the phones would be ringing and no one would be there until I got there at 11. ... Now, Computer Services opens at 7:45. That means there'd be about five hours with no one at the desk.
Cue me, the workstudy girl of the day. *ahem*
If I come in at 7:45 and open the labs? I get paid overtime for working that whole time. If I work from 7:45 up to and through my regular shift, that is three times my regular work, which means three times the money.
Now, this means I have to wake up at... an unspeakable hour, but fuck if I care. MONEY!
