help_japan is raising aid money for Japan -- GO FORTH AND HELP IF YOU CAN! My thread is here, but there are much better authors than me out there offering -- and people offering non-writing as well!
While I'm at it, fandom_flood_ap is raising aid money for the flooding in Australia. ( I have a thread there too. THIS IS NOT SHAMELESS ADVERTISING FOR ME, I PROMISE.)
THE POINT IS, fandom's reaching out, so spare a dime or two if you've got it. It's a great chance to request fic and art and things, and give back. I gave to UNICEF and Doctors Without Borders after the flooding in Pakistan thanks to one of these comms, and I've continued contributing since just because it's a good cause. The world is falling apart guys! THE 21ST CENTURY IS WHEN IT ALL CHANGES --
