I love this country.

And not because of who won. I love this country because so many people cared enough to vote, for whatever reason, that people stepped up and did their civic duty. I love that people participated in the political process of this amazing country because that's what we're meant to do, this is supposed to be a country of the people, and people answered the call. I love that there was an honest dialogue, that people were really passionate, that people had hope and faith in politicians no matter what party they represented.

For once we had a real discussion without hiding behind partisan rhetoric, say what you will about various strategies, but at least real points of view were established and discussed and people knew what was going on. All of that has shown us a lot of what lies ahead to be worked out between the next administration, Congress, and the American people.

To McCain supporters -- tonight has got to suck, but hey, I went through this last time, so I know how you're feeling. At least this time there's... I don't know, a better chance for reconciliation? We're certainly closer in ideals than I think the political parties would have us believe.

God bless America, I love this place.

elections, politics is fun i swear, politics
