when princess amber is spelled to sleep by a (stupid) sorcerer. who will wake her?
When their youngest daughter, Amber, is put into an enchanted sleep by a stupid, but well meaning sorcerer, the Royal Liu family dreads she’ll never be awoken. Charming and devastatingly handsome men from all over their kingdom had arrived to kiss the princess awake, yet none had even coerced a twitch from the immobile lips.
At their wits end, the King and Queen had summoned their daughter’s good friend, Sulli, to ask her advice. They had already worn out the ideas of their closest advisers; a teenage girl couldn’t be any worse.
“Have you ever thought about trying a more… unconventional person to kiss Amber awake? Sure these guys are hot stuff but they’re not exactly Amber’s type.” Sulli stood before her rulers but didn’t pay them much attention, too distracted by the puppy in her arms. Bab was a cute thing, really.
“What do you mean by unconventional?” The Queen asked, peering down from her massive throne.
Sulli looked up, Bab continuing to nibble at the rope she had. “Well, have you tried a girl? I mean, you can’t tell me you didn’t know Amber’s a total lesbian,” she asked and couldn’t even hold in her laughter at the Queen’s surprised look. So they hadn’t known.
“Oh, you didn’t know? Wow, no offense you’re Majesty, but it’s more obvious than the nose on your face that Amber likes girls. Didn’t you hear about her and that imported Chinese dancer? They totally hooked up while she was here.” Sulli continued to laugh, even needing to place Bab on the ground as she sank to her knees, her legs too weak to hold up her trembling body.
The King and Queen apparently had enough of her laughter and quickly silenced her with a well-placed ahem. “Well, now that we do know do you have any suggestions of where we’d fine a girl willing to kiss her awake?” Surely no girl in their Kingdom could kiss Amber awake.
Sulli straightened up, now sitting comfortably on the ground and shrugged, recapturing Bab’s attention. “I imagine the SoShi Kingdom would be your best bet. There’re loads of lesbians there,” she said.
The Queen immediately stood and called for the herald. “I need representatives from the Soshi Kingdom to come here quickly for a diplomatic mission. Tell them ‘no’ is not an option.”
It was surprisingly easy to find a group of girls from the SoShi Kingdom to come and within the hour they had arrived, all dressed in majestic costumes.
First was the oldest of the group, a short girl who, after turning Amber on her side, had muttered something that sounded vaguely like ‘dat ass’ before kissing the sleeping princess. Amber didn’t stir, but her cheeks did turn faintly pink, which seemed to secure Sulli’s idea that a girl would be needed to wake her up.
Next was a dark haired girl that played an old hip-hop song before kissing Amber. The princess responded with a twitch of her hand, but that was it. She didn’t wake up.
Their last hope rested on a thin blonde whose face didn’t betray any emotion, even as she leaned over the princess and kissed her deeply. She elicited the most noticeable response. Amber shifted and her eyes fluttered but still, she didn’t wake.
The Queen let out a disheartened sigh and leaned against her husband for comfort. Even their older daughter had come out to watch the proceedings, worried that she might never pick on her stupid sister again.
The group from the SoShi Kingdom didn’t leave after their failed attempts, instead they exchanged hushed whispered and looked fervently back at the entrance hall door before they pushed the oldest out to directly speak with the King and Queen.
“Your Majesties, if I, Taeyeon, can make a suggestion,” she started, “Since Jessica got the most response from the princess, we thought if someone else could have a try. Jessica’s younger sister, Krystal.”
The King waved a careless hand. “Yes, if it might mean our darling angel will wake, then bring in this other girl.” Taeyeon nodded and sent Jessica out to fetch her sister. The hall remained frozenly silent until the doors opened once more, Jessica trailed by a girl that couldn’t be anyone but her sister; they looked eerily similar, the same cold expression on both of their faces.
Krystal peered down at the sleeping princess before leaning down and kissing her, her hand threaded through Amber’s short hair. When she pulled away, Amber still hadn’t moved, much to the SoShi representatives’ surprise.
“Yah, you aren’t gonna wake for me?”
Everyone was more than a little startled at Krystal’s sudden outburst and The King opened his mouth to reproach her but quickly shut it as Amber started moving.
The princess twitched, her eyelids fluttering until they were fully open, gazing up at Krystal. Amber slowly sat up, her gaze not leaving the other girls. “You kissed me awake?” she asked, her voice low.
Krystal rolled her eyes before hopping up onto the dais Amber had been laying on. “I’m standing here aren’t I?” she questioned, her voice rich in amusement. “Man I hope you’ve got an older sister because your people will be doomed with you as the Queen.”
Everyone, aside from Sulli and the SoShi Kingdom girls were shocked at what Krystal was saying, in fact they tried their hardest not to let their laughter out. Even if she had waked Amber, she was still a princess. But before anything could be done, Amber threw her head back and laughed, tossing her arm around Krystal’s shoulder and pulling her close.
“Hey mom, dad, I like her. Can she stay with us?”
Krystal smirked before placing her own arm around Amber’s waist, not so discreetly slipping her hand underneath the hem of the older girl’s shirt.
“More like can you live with me,” she muttered, already imagining the area in her room that Amber would fit into nicely.
