such_heights is doing this meme, and I don't know, I guess I felt like doing a meme! So here it is. The deal is: comment and I'll give you three of your fandoms, then copy and paste the questions onto your journal and fill it out. I commented at
such_heights' place, and she gave me Mythbusters, Farscape, and White Collar. Aw, she knows what I like. Though - actually, hm. Those fandoms are kind of hard to do with these questions! Ah well, I will try.
Mythbusters:
01. The first character I fell in love with: I think everyone falls in love with Adam first! He sort of insists on it, in that HI HI HI I LOVE YOU DO YOU LOVE ME TOOOOO HI way of his.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Jaaaaaaaaaamie! He grows on you until your love for him becomes almost unbearable.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: haha, "everyone else." I guess for Mythbusters, "everyone else" = toft, eruthros, and chagrined? a couple other people too? Um. Well, if everyone else loved Tory, then it would be Tory, who I only love a tiny bit (compared to the others).
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: Again, there's not a lot of everyone else to work with here. In my imaginary giant Mythbusters fandom, "everyone" would probably hate Kari because of her vagina and her getting between Tory and Grant? OMG I've imagined a terrible fandom. Well, anyway, this is a way of saying, I love Kari to pieces.
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Uh. Buster and I have sort of grown apart, I guess.
06. The character I would shag anytime: Kari! Or Grant. Much as I love Adam and Jamie, they're both a little . . . high maintenance for me.
07. The character I want to be like: omg, all of them! I want to be doing applied kooky art like Kari, and I want to be getting paid for being a hyperactive obsessive fanboy like Adam, and I want to be as methodical and inventive and clever as Jamie, and I want to be as adorable and smart as little Grant. Hmm, that lets Tory out. I guess I'm already goofy, which is the quality I most admire in Tory, so I'm doing okay there.
08. The character I'd slap: oh, Adam, definitely. But he wouldn't mind.
09. A pairing that I love: :D :D :D ADAM/JAMIE
10. A pairing that I hate: uh. Guys there are like six stories in this whole fandom. But . . . Tory/Jamie would be disastrous.
11. Favorite character: Adam and Jamie mind melded together for science
12. My five favorite characters: I am so running out of characters on this show. Like, there aren't even ten of them. Um. Jamie, Adam, Kari, Grant, Scottie.
13. My five least favorite characters: yeaaaaah. Those two random guys who did the Archimedes' Death Ray competition, those guys were assholes. And the producer who makes fun of Jamie in the Mythbusters Revealed special (because only Adam gets to make fun of Jamie like that). And the late Erik Gates, who screwed up everything he ever touched and also was a jerk. And Heather Joseph-Witham, who was really . . . not suited to the show.
14. Which character I am most like: Oh god. Adam? I tend to do things really fast and without thinking about whether they are good ideas, and then fall down. Or I might be more like Grant, who is shy, brilliant, and robo-sexual.
15. My deep, dark fandom secret: I would totally break up Adam/Jamie for Jamie/Grant. Sometimes. Maybe. I'm not sure. I was just trying to shock you. But I could totally ship Jamie/Grant.
Farscape:
01. The first character I fell in love with: Aeryn Aeryn Aeryn Aeryn Aeryn Aeryn Aeryn
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Crais! I remember the first time I saw the show, after the season one finale I was like, WHY IS HE STILL HERE. But then I came to love him lots.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: I don't actually know anything about this fandom. Does everyone love Jothee? Because I don't like him. And I really dislike Rygel, sometimes, though not all the time.
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: I again have no clue who people hate. If they hated Chiana or Jool or John or D'Argo or Zhaan or Pilot I would have to fight them, though. I am probably in line with most fans on this, yes?
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Maybe Stark - I loved him in the beginning, but then didn't like where they took him later in the series.
06. The character I would shag anytime: Aeryn Aeryn Aeryn Aeryn Aeryn Aeryn Aeryn! Or Chiana. Or John. Or Zhaan. Or Grayza. Probably D'Argo. Pilot if I could figure out how. I would do like most of the cast.
07. The character I want to be like: Can I be Zhaan when I grow up?
08. The character I'd slap: John. But he wouldn't mind.
09. A pairing that I love: Zhaan/D'Argo, rowr. Though I do think that John/Aeryn is the hottest canon het ship of all time.
10. A pairing that I hate: Chiana/Jothee, omg, STOP IT.
11. Favorite character: did I mention AERYN?
12. My five favorite characters: this is really hard, I love them all. Okay, in order, Aeryn, Zhaan, Pilot, John, Chiana. AND D'ARGO TOO OMG. And Scorpius. AND MOYA!
13. My five least favorite characters: Ummm. Jothee, Rygel. Stark gets on my nerves sometimes. Grayza after her plotline drags on and on. Uh. Oh, actually: Talon. Talon annoys me all the time. GROW UP TALON JEEZ.
14. Which character I am most like: 1812.
15. My deep, dark fandom secret: I honestly can't think of any.
White Collar:
01. The first character I fell in love with: June, actually. That whole scene with Neal in the second-hand store? She was the most interesting person in the pilot.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Peter! I went through that fannish transformation process whereby I suddenly found him just smoking hot. And the gradual evolution of his goofiness and his huge crush on Neal endeared him to me.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Do we know any characters other than Peter, Neal, and Elizabeth well enough to have these kinds of differences? Uh, I don't particularly care for Cruz, but on the other hand she's said like seven words, so I'm sure she could grow on me.
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: There's no one; this fandom and I are in harmony.
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Mozzie gets more and more useless and annoying as time goes by, though I loved him to pieces in the first couple episodes.
06. The character I would shag anytime: Elizabeth and Peter together, since they come as a package. :)
07. The character I want to be like: Can I be as awesome and gorgeous as June when I'm past fifty?
08. The character I'd slap: Neal. But he wouldn't mind. (though, honestly, if he said the word "Kate" in my presence I really would want to slap him.)
09. A pairing that I love: Peter/Neal/Elizabeth! I am predictable. Though June/Neal is also hot like burning in this really quiet way, idek.
10. A pairing that I hate: Peter/Neal without mention of Elizabeth. :(
11. Favorite character: I anticipate my favourite character being Diana, in the future. omg I cannot wait for her to come back! But at the moment, probably Peter, because he's a doofus.
12. My five favorite characters: In terms of potential, as well as what we've seen so far: Peter, Elizabeth, June, Neal, Diana. I'm coming to like Jones, as we gradually see more of him.
13. My five least favorite characters: Kate, Kate, Kate, Fowler, and Mozzie.
14. Which character I am most like: Peter, probably.
15. My deep, dark fandom secret: I really don't need Neal to have sex with Peter and/or Elizabeth. I just want them to top him. So far I haven't read a lot of threesome sex in the fandom that I've actually liked, though I ship the three of them very much. Probably because I haven't read enough stories where Elizabeth and Peter tell Neal what to do - really, I haven't read many stories that are as delightfully D/s as the show. Probably this means I should read more stories.
Okay, that's plenty of time wasted this morning! I should go do something productive now.
