It's been awhile...

I've been waiting to post for awhile, for a few reasons: 1. I haven't been able to find the wire that connects my camera to my computer, 2. I've been doing almost nothing but trying to figure out Christmas shit. Number 2 is a little overwhelming; I really can't wait til all this shit is over.

So what've I done?

Went to see Loudon Wainwright III in Northampton with Mark and Max. Loudon was wonderful, but unfortunately, we got there late and missed a few of his songs. We were in Northampton for maybe an hour at the most but spent about seven hours driving there and back. A little ridiculous, especially since he played in Portland the very next night (I didn't know that when I bought the non-returnable Northampton tickets...and I also missed Mindless Self Indulgence at the Station because of this...I'm sure I didn't miss much, but still). Despite all, I think it was worth it; he made me laugh so much.

Saw the Spinto Band at Space with Paige and Melissa. I was dead tired when I got there after working 1-9 AM and not bothering to sleep between then and the show. I was able to muster up energy after resting my head during Phantom Buffalo's set, and was able to dance the rest of the night through. Talked with them afterwards about fake mustaches, Maine and Delaware, and pastries. Spent the ride home enjoying the Ace of Base cd and a buzzed and happy Melissa's conversation.

Un-thanksgiving potluck, which went really well. So much vegan food, so many lovely people. Deacon's parents came with some wine and ended up chanting, "Vegan chocolate cake!" excitedly after trying my dessert.

Snuggled with Mark and Goomba.
Saw Milk with Mark, Paige, and Deacon, which I mostly liked except for some stylistic issues I had with it.
Cleaned out three trash bags plus one crate of clothes and junk from my room, which felt wonderful.
Bought a bunch of Christmas gifts.
Was broke.
Still am.

The said vegan chocolate cake that incited chanting. Two layer chocolate cake with raspberry filling, covered in chocolate ganache, cool whip, and fresh raspberries.

Love it.

Everybody hanging out with Goomba.

Mark borrowing my clothes.

More Goomba.

So silly.

sweeties, concert, goomba, cakes, bang-a-rang
