Mark and I met up with Cora in Northampton last night (which, besides being a crazy college town, is my favorite place in Massachusetts) and saw Martha Wainwright. She played at this small dive type venue called the Iron Horse. It's a tiny restaurant with no place to stand, you can only sit at tables, and you can order food (18 bucks for three drinks and a plate of hummus...guh). It was a lot of fun, though I wish we could've spent a bit more time with Cora.
I forgot to bring in my camera, so I don't have any pictures from the actual show...but I did buy these charming underpants, which say, "I know you're married but I have feelings too," across the back. I guess she used to sell ones that said, "Bloody mother fucking asshole," on them...fabulous.
We'll be seeing her father at the same place in December, and her brother somewhere else in February. Wainwright tour 08/09.
In other news, Doctor Conrad and I just pulled the gauze out of my rear. I should be healed in another few days, if the other doctor was telling the truth. I can only hope...
