Cupcakes Ryan and I made for a potluck awhile ago. Dragons and mermaids abound!

I left out the awful process in between these. I also was not nearly as happy as I looked in the "after" shot. Guhh.
Aaron, Alicia, and Ryan did most of these.
Chocolate orange cake that I told Ryan to decorate while I was working on a different cake. The result: doodle cake.
Vanilla pound cake.
Cool whip and sliced strawberry center.
Chocolate whipped frosting.
Strawberry hearts.
Love.
The beginning of the process of Paige's graduation cake, which was a coffee cake with coffee icing and toasted coconut on the edges. (We also made orange pudding filled orange cupcakes with chocolate ganache that I didn't get any pictures of.)
End result!
I'm really proud of how Paige's graduation cake came out. I feel like it probably looked better in person than in the pictures, but nonetheless...five hours of hard work paid off. Almost all of my family mentioned that they think I should start a bakery, which I've definitely thought about before. It's not something that's feasible anytime in the near future; the money just isn't there. I'm keeping the idea with me, though. For now, I just have to hope that the Guthrie's cupcake operation can get going soon; we're off to a slow start, for a lot of different reasons.
