Platypus bills are extremely touch-sensitive, allowing them to find food and eat underwater with their eyes shut; the bill is made of a flexible cartilage.
They have spur like protrusions on their back feet which can deliver a poison which can make a person sick and is strong enough to kill a dog.
"From Medieval times through the 17th century the existence of unicorn was reinforced by the spectacular spiraling horns that the Vikings brought to Europe. It was believed that the unicorn horn could detect and destroy any poison that an enemy might place in ones' food. The Vikings guarded their secret of the source of the horns from the Europeans for over 300 years. The horns were not from the legendary Unicorn, but from the Narwhal."

The muntjac is the oldest known species of deer; "prehistoric."
The upper canine teeth of the male muntjac grow between 2-3 centimeters and visibly protrude from the mouth. They are used as weapons, and to mark territory.
The mudskipper's name fits it perfectly, as it uses its different fins as legs and tail as a propeller to take great bounds over mud. It can also swim, and has a limited climbing abilitity, but it moves fastest on land.
Munchkin cats come in all colors and coat lengths; the only thing they share in common is their unusually short legs.
The short legs are caused by a natural gene, not manipulated by humans. The same type of gene is found in daschunds and welsh corgis.
The short legs do not hinder its ability to climb, but makes it much more difficult to jump.
As for this...who knows.
