She's still a little confused about the sudden change of month so... don't blame her too much if she missed her sons's birthday. She'll already feel like a monster when she'll realize.

"Dear... what have you covered that pile of omelettes with?"

She's just being curious.

Someone, somewhere, could probably hear Lash's ego breaking. A pile of omelettes? Was she serious? She was serious. It was one thing having Hinawa around which already made her...well...feel weird, another that she was Claus' mother and finally that she was the new cooking teacher. It was a triple threat if she ever saw one.

Yet she couldn't really do anything but bare with it. For the sake of others. And Hinawa herself wasn't bad just...

"It's a chocolate cake," she offered hopefully, with an unusually soft and confused voice. "There's eggs in it, but not like omlettes." Seriously, how was she supposed to react around her? Shouldn't a cooking teacher KNOW about cakes? Or did she and her cake was just that bad looking?

"A... cake?" Yes, it is so bad looking. Anyway she's not going to tell her she barely considers it a cake, after all the young woman probably put all her effort in it. Maybe.
"Well, praticing is important too. You know, just... maybe it should be less pendant?"

Anyway she's probably going to ask you to attend private lessons to learn, at least, the basics. Because it doesn' look like a cake and you know it!

And, sorry about making you uncomfortable but Hinawa don't even know who you are and is totally unaware of your thoughs.

"It's not leaning that badly," Lash protested (poking a finger right into the cake to push it back up). "It's just the stuff inside that's still not completely cooked and is a bit liquidy..."

At least it wasn't like cakes one, two and three; completely burned due to forgetting to take them out at the right time. The first being she had thought raising the temperature would only cook the cake faster. CAKE FOUR WAS A BEAUTY and she was proud of it, but now that Hinawa was telling her about practise, she just...plopped down at the table and looked at it, without even wondering if Hinawa knew about her.

"I still think it's eatable...I'm sure Claus and Lucas will like it."

"Pfft, but it is leaning and, unless it's done on purpose, it shouldn't happen. And if what you put inside's not properly cooked it's because the oven was probably too hot." She was supposed tobe a cooking teacher, wasn't it better helping students before starting a proper lesson if there were so... evident problems?

"Ah... uhm... but it's a nice cake indeed." added at Lash's reaction "Maybe with some small decorations it'll definitely being better, mh?@"
And Hinawa tilted her head, confused.
"You made it for them? Oh, I'm sure they'll appreciate it" At least the effort she put in baking a decent one "I'm glad they have friends who care about them, now..."

Lash coughed at that last comment, turning an interesting shade of red.

"Y-yes friends who care." She poked the cake again. "I guess decorations could be a good idea..."

"Mmmh?" Hinawa moved closer, smiling noticing her blush and planning to ask Lucas and Claus if they... well, after hearing so many sad things she wouldn't complain about few good news.

"Friends who care, mh?" the woman tilted her head "Would you need some help, perhaps?"

"Maybe..." It wasn't that Lash didn't appreciate the reaching out, really! She just didn't know what Hinawa knew so far, and what she should do around her. Maybe later she would realize that she probably had mother-in-law syndrome.

"What would you suggest?" It took ever inch of her to say that outloud.

Mh? Oh, going tofix it later, now I'm at school and it's almost lesson time D> sunflowersangel April 27 2011, 11:30:49 UTC
"Then let me take a look and see what we have here... with some whipping cream and other things we could actually pretend the leaning was completely intentional. In a way or another."
And Hinawa doesn't suspect any of Lash's problems! Mother-in-law, mh? Sounds good, now... when will you give her grandchildren? Mh?

"Me? Am I suggesting anything?" Smiles widely, she's not going to insist too much even because she can't tell if her small intuition's right or not (yes, she only baked cakes for Flint, Flint and Flint before having her twins, sometimes even for her father, but this world seems so different...).

"Whipping cream..." Oh if that didn't bring back memories and make her turn into a bright red again. "I-i guess we could do that. Uh I think there's sprinkles somewhere!" Dashed out of the room. Returned a few minutes later with a box full of decorating things.

"Maybe cherries on top of something..." she wonders if Hinawa ever had cherries before, but shows her the jar instead. "Maybe they'll like it like that?"

"Mmhh?" Okay, for someone like Hinawa it'd be too much understand the reason Lash blushed again... whipping cream's good on cakes and fruit, isn't it? what else? Oh, she knows, you gave a 'cake' covered with whipped cream to the person you love, didn't you? Oh, so sweet! Anyway Hinawa's just waiting for you.
"We can pretend is some kind of composition..."

"Yes!" Fruits... delicious fruits, she knows them, of course! "They'll definitely love them!"

"Okay good," she says with a really confused look on her face. "Uhh maybe you should...start working on it while I...watch."

Who knew, maybe she could work a miracle and the cake could be saved. Or at least look good before they actually ate it.

That's what she's planning to do with whipped cream and decorations even if she'll not being able to help about the taste and the consistence inside, that's up to you.
"Oh, no no, we have to work together. Don't worry my dear... uhm, what's your name? Anyway, we'll turn it in a beautiful cake, mh? Now, let's put it in the fridge so the chocolate'll make it more solid, slowly we'll rearrange it while choosing the decorations." She's going to be your teacher, she has to do things with you, not all by herself!

Oh. Goodie. This was going to make her so much better. Without many words, she put the cake in the fridge as instructed.

"Lash..." she finally stammered, saying her name. "My name is Lash."

This was going to be the start of a really confusing friendship, she just knew this.

Well, that's what she hopes to do, not the final result, even because she's planning to let you do most of the work.

"Lash, it's a very nice name. I'm Hinawa, Lucas and Claus's mother." she murmured, ordering the decorations by shape and color.

I-it's not Hianwa's fault if she lived in a utopia so far and everything seems to be completely alien for her point of view... but, yes, it's going to be a very consuding relationship.

The cake was therefore doomed from the start.

"Y-yeah. I know. They told me about you..." she didn't want to say more about the subject. How did you tell someone You're supposed to be dead, anyway? "How long should we wait for the cake to be workable again?"
