"Tee hee, really?"
Lash switched the phone to the other side of her elbow as she searched her room for the blue-tooth addon. All these overly complicated pieces of machinery scattered around the apartment and she couldn't find the simplest, dumbest piece of technology, having to hold the phone while she talked like a normal person. A few metal scraps flew off the table as peered in the bowl.
"...no seriously? You called it Jeffie? What did they say?" She giggled and pushed the first bowl to gaze into the second one. Hurray! Success! The attachment was branched into the phone, the other part into her ears and she had both her hands to get dressed properly.
Sometimes time zones were a bitch. But Lash would have felt it wrong not to call Maxwell today. It was his birthday, after all. That's what all good friends did, right? "I'm surprised they let you! Tee hee, make sure to call the next one Tossie or Tonise or..you get what I mean." Hilarious. She was a comedy queen, that was for sure. Turning triumphant into her room, she looked around to see what piece of school clothing was still clean enough to wear for the day. The rest would desperately need to be washed tonight. Hrrgh, she hated laundry days.
They talked some more. He even put Guass on the phone for all of one second that Lash said her name in the phone and he walked away, uninterested. Cats.
"I saw you on television yesterday!" she beamed, looking at her flat screen TV and the recorder resting on top. Even if Maxwell couldn't see her, she frowned. "...you really don't have to wear those earrings. It was a souvenir not something for you to wear. Especially on international television...."
They talked for over an hour, amidst wishes of happy birthdays and what had happened lately in life, Tony and talking cars. It felt nice. She admitted to not having visiting the farm yet, and would eventually to scare all those goats. There was a part on intimacy that was missing, but talking like friends and just that...it felt really nice.
"I should go," she finally said, looking at the time. "I guess with my brilliant mind, I could skip classes, but the Headmasters have another of those boring meetings between the teachers." She groaned. "Yeah it was nice to talk with you too! Happy birthday again! Yeah!....Bye to you too!"
Just like that, the call ended. It was amazing how in just a few weeks how everything had changed. She still had a lot of things to tell him, and in time she might have, but for now, just talking to him as a friend made her feel happy. She smiled and threw the blue-tooth into the couch where she would probably need to search for it again. Woops. Putting on her shoes, Lash stumbled into the corridors of the school, locking her door.
There was much to think about this week. And sleepovers! That was going to be...interesting.

Hey um...I'm not mad at you okay? I'm sorry if I didn't talk about it before, but I really am not! Maybe we should talk about it, okay? I should have sent this sooner but I thought you were angry at me. Dumb reason, I know. Well not dumb, just lame. Cause I'm never dumb!

So what should we do now? I've been thinking about all we found, and I want to know more. But I can't just go talk to Hachi about it or Sensei! But I bet those two old men would know something.
What's your take on it?

Maxwell's team discovered another sea creature like Tessie and he called it JEFFIE. JEFFIE! Tee hee, isn't that the most hilarious thing? Did you guys catch the interview yesterday? He even had my earrings on, I bet half of the country over there is confused at that!

Hey! After talking with Ninten last week, I've been thinking. And for a wunderkind like me, thinking is a snap! But who would be interested in having tank lessons? I could ask the nerd guy who runs the driver's ed...or wait! He's too nerdy, no need for him! I know! I'll just have them during MY CLASS, it's the best class anyway. Riding tanks is really fun, tee hee hee, you should all come next time and see how it is!
