I'm getting back into the swing of writing regularly for the Forge, because attempting to get a job in journalism without the added benefit of an actual journalism degree is probably going to be quite difficult, and I need all the work experience I can get. This issue I have a 500-word Comment piece on the re-allocation of the Union's funding, due this evening, and I'm 330 words in. Which is pretty good. It's coming out much better than the wanksty single reviews I wrote for the website on Friday.
I had an idea for an original story too, which I've started.

ROSE! THIS IS YOUR BIRTHDAY CAKE!
Well, not this exact one, obviously.
Also, have you ever just gotten an urge to take a picture of your dinner?
I'm getting pretty good at these. This only took me an hour.
Bring one to London y/n?
Ahh, it was so gorgeous that I actually felt too stuffed to eat the leftover icing from the cake. Most satisfying meal I've had in ages.
I'ma make some chilli pasta when I've done this blog. Moar good food!
The movie was great too- A Tale of Two Sisters.
I had some trouble watching it at first, because the subtitles didn't seem to be working. And then I realised it was the fucking aspect ratio. And the handset's buggered, so we got rid of it, so there's no way to change it. So I had to put it on my laptop instead.
Fantastic film tho- so creepy.
The bit where Su-yeon watches the ghost crawling along the floor, and then the ghost gets up and floats over her, absolutely terrified me.Brilliant! And the twist was so unexpected that it left me confused for a fair while. Which I always like. Fantastic acting too- the girl who plays Su-yeon was fantastic, I thought.
Interestingly, I couldn't help noticing that the girl who plays Su-mi looks a bit like an Asian Emily Browning, and I've just found out that Emily Browning actually plays the role in the American remake, The Uninvited, which comes out this year (and doesn't look as good). Ha, and it turns out that she auditioned for the role of her character's sister as well, as did the girl who played Su-mi in A Tale of Two Sisters. Ha.
Also,
the first Femme Boosh challenge is up. I have no idea if any of you have any plans to play at all, since most of you don't post to the archive any more, but let me know there if you do. And if anyone posts to ff net while it's running, can you do me a favour and give me some free advertising please? I'm gonna plug it when I get round to uploading my Anthrax/Ebola drabble, but I have pretty much no presence over there any more, and a lot of people probably don't read anything non-Howince.
Cheers!
Right, now is food time!
